Can regular Reiki treatments stop me from getting sick?

Q: Can regular Reiki treatments stop me from getting sick?

A: They can help! Reiki helps balance the subtle energies in the body. Illness is caused by blockages in the flow of Ki, or life force energy. Blockages that are not cleared up can lead to physical illness. Blockages happen as we go about our daily life, and can occur on emotional, physical, and spiritual levels.

We are integrated beings. Our emotions are not separate from our physical bodies, and thus our emotional state can lead to increased health (ever notice that happy, relaxed people are usually healthier?), or to illness (ever notice how people who are always stressed or angry tend to get sick more often?)

So it stands to reason that when we are in balance emotionally, spiritually and physically, we will be healthier, and we will have a faster recovery period from illness as well.

I won’t tell you that people who receive Reiki regularly won’t ever get sick. Even Reiki practitioners get sick sometimes! But I will say that when one lives from a balanced state, one’s well-being is enhanced. When people who receive Reiki get sick, we recover faster and Reiki helps reduce the symptoms and strengthen our immune systems while we heal.

People who take care of themselves, eat right and get regular exercise, should also attend to their energetic health. It all works together to help you enjoy your life. (And if you don’t take care of yourself, Reiki could help motivate you to start some healthy habits!)

Make Reiki a part of your personal health and wellness routine.

Better yet, learn Reiki for yourself and you can use it daily.

  1. Hi Alice,
I’m getting ready to share my Yoga/Reiki newsletter w/ my clients and would love to post this blog in it with your permission. I would be sure to credit you and link your “Reiki Awakening” blog posts so they can see them all. The only thing I would change is the end, because I can’t teach it as I’m not a Master Reiki Practitioner yet. I would say “book your appointment with Mimi today.” Let me know.
    With gratitude,
    De-Stress with Yoga
